Out of the window, tonight, I cannot see stars. It is either clouds or pollution darkening the air tonight, I cannot tell the difference as the sky is too dark. When I was much younger, I can remember staring out of my dad's car's window, to see a deep, dark sky spotted with grey and white. Helicopters would try and mimic the star's glow, but they do not succeed.
The world appears very much silent, but through the windows of neighboring houses, I can see gentle glows of light radiating through the drawn curtains. Some flash different colors; probably a television. Others give off a gentle glow, most likely a desk lamp where someone is hard at work.
