I'm afraid I am just a bit late - two days now - but happy happy Fourth of July! I'm unfortunately not in the United States to celebrate, and no fireworks were to be seen here, but I hope those of you had an excellent day and got to spend some quality family time (good for some, sometimes not for others). My dad and I usually watch the hot dog eating contest together, for whatever reason. It's fairly repulsing but somehow it's got that 'Fourth-of-July feeling' to it now.
Things have been interesting over here; I went out to play a game of 'bowls' at a club with my grandparents. It's not bowling, i.e. 10-pin bowling, contrary to popular belief among my friends, but it's instead where you have to throw a white marker ball down the grass, and then the teams take consecutive turns to get their ball the closest to it.

Above is a photo I took while kneeling in the grass, and I'm surprised that it actually turned out half-decent. I got some strange looks from the other bowl-goers, most of them being quite elderly people wondering what on Earth the only teen there was doing, but it was worth the photo!
We also went Strawberry picking, as of course they're in season at the moment. Last time I went strawberry picking we had to really search for them; this time, they were everywhere! We went home satisfied, with two small baskets full of them.

Beyond those events, we went to my great-grandfather's house and went out for the day with my other grandparents (so many family members to keep track of for one post!) and went out for a proper meal, consisting of some really quite delicious fish and chips.
Hope your summer so far is full of interest - or at least peace of mind, away from too stressful of activities. It feels like there's so many more weeks to come, but they'll be gone in a flash!
