aph finland cosplay complete, huzzah!
After a few weeks of gathering together the pieces for my cosplay together, it is finally complete. :D I'm a crafty person (I say this, but I haven't put anything together in a long while...) but sewing isn't exactly my forté, so I ended up buying the costume itself off of etsy. The wig, hat and boots were fairly cheap online, and I was on the lookout for a similar cross necklace to what he wears for a while now (which unforunately, is covered. Oops!) and finally stumbled across one.
I hope to wear it to a few conventions in the future, and find some fellow Hetalians to hang around with, since I don't know too many people who've even heard of it. Most of my friends probably think it's a slight bit strange... but hey, once you get into it, history class is never boring again!
Speaking of history/countries/things, the Eurovision finals happened yesterday! This was the first one I watched completely through, and admittedly, Hetalia partially inspired me to so. Some of the songs were cool; I liked the UK's (click here) in fact, but it recieved hardly any points. Too many ballads, as expected. It made me laugh a bit when you could quite literally tell who was going to vote for who. Congrats Måns Zelmerlöw, who performed for Sweden! (click here for theirs)
Hope any watchers of Eurovision had a fun night, and that everyone's weekend overall was an enjoyable one. :) Tomorrow is of course our Memorial Day of this year, in the US.
